Happy Christmas Eve, to those of you who celebrate! In today’s post I’m going to shine the spotlight on a new beauty brand, Woosh Beauty.
Woosh Beauty was started by two women, Bobbie Thomas and Andrea Abraham (girl power, tho). They are both passionate about beauty, of course, as well as about women building other women up. They’ve come up with new and innovative products created to eliminate common beauty issues we all face. The brand can be purchased through their website as well as at Ulta.
Fold Out Face
The Fold Out Face is, in my opinion, Woosh’s most innovative product. It’s essentially an entire makeup bag in a single palette. This is the product for my girls/boys who need more hours in the day.
In the upper left corner are four eyeshadows to create a complete eye look – from neutral to smokey. There is a “base” shadow, perfect for a brow highlight or base lid shade, a “shine” shade for all over shimmer, a “define” shade that to add smokiness or to define the crease, and a “line” shade for eyeliner or to deepen up the look.
I find all of the shadows to be extremely blendable and easy to work with. Additionally, I use the contour shade in the palette (I’ll get to that in a bit) in my crease as a transition shade for more natural looks.
On the bottom left side of the palette are two “Perfector” shades. These are the only two cream products in the palette, and are to be used as your base makeup. I am very picky about my foundations, so I tend to use my go-to, every day foundations instead of these products. I will say, that I do like them separately for a cream contour and highlight – they blend out naturally and beautifully.
To the right of the eyeshadows and perfectors are two powders – a matte highlight and contour shade. My favorite contour palette of all time is the Kat Von D Palette, which has three contour shades and three highlight shades. I worried that having just one shade of each wasn’t going to work for me, since I often like to mix the shades in the Kat Von D palette, but both of these shades work perfectly. The contour shade is cool enough to create a natural shadow without being orange or pink in any way. The highlight has the perfect amount of yellow in it for my skintone. As I mentioned earlier, the contour shade also works great as a crease shade on the eyes.
On the right side of the palette are two blushes, one highlighter, and two “blender” shades. One blush is a matte, cool pink with a hint of fuchsia and the other is a warm pink with shimmer. The highlighter is a shimmery pink champagne. Soften your contour and eliminate any harsh lines with the two “blender” shades.
Perhaps my favorite product from Woosh are their Spin-On Lip Glosses. These glosses come in eight mostly nude shades. They are formulated with shea butter, which means they are super comfortable on the lips. There are few things I hate more than my hair getting stuck in tacky, sticky lip gloss. This gloss adds the most delicious, juicy shine to the lips and feels good to wear. The color is sheer upon first application, but can be built up for more color payoff. The applicator rolls on the lips, allowing for easy and even application.
Overall, I think Woosh Beauty makes some really fantastic products. If you hate having a ton of products to complete a full face of makeup, the Fold Out Face may be a great option for you. Additionally, if you’re looking for a comfortable, non-sticky lip gloss, I highly recommend the Spin-On Glosses. Glossy lips are back, baby, and I’ve been reaching for these non-stop.
Woosh is currently offering 20% off your purchase made on their website with the code FRIEND20 until January 22nd, so now would be a fantastic time to try some of their products! Additionally, they will be giving away free mascara and lash shields (byeeeee, mascara smudges) with every purchase of a Fold Out Face on December 26th (Tuesday). Get on it!
Do any of these products interest you? If so, which ones?
